I Hate Models is one of the most striking techno producers and DJs of his generation. Born in 1995, he grew up in southern France, initially influenced by hip-hop, punk and metal before shifting towards electronic music. His alias, literally "I hate models", reflects an aversion to boxes and rigid genres. An artistic stance he fully embraces: discreet, almost always masked in public, he lets his music do the talking. He started in 2015, released a series of acclaimed EPs on ARTS, then signed to London-based industrial techno label Perc Trax, with whom he released his first album L'Âge des métamorphoses in 2019, praised by specialized press for its energy and EBM / industrial textures. In 2021, he launched his own label, Disco Inferno, on which he releases his vinyl productions with particular care given to the physical object. His universe oscillates between nostalgia and brutality, light and darkness, never submitting to a single genre. Elected most listened live artist by Generation Z in 2024 according to Shotgun platform, I Hate Models has established himself as an essential figure of the French and European techno scene.
